Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibility

HOERBIGER Business Unit EET is a supplier of unique products in technology focused markets. EET - Engine Technology is one of the lead suppliers for performance defining technology for reciprocating natural gas and hydrogen engines to diverse OEMs.

Test Engineer (TE) is a part of industrialization team within product management group closely interacting with R&D department. TE actively participates in early stage of development by providing feedback to R&D group considering design requirements towards future serial production. TE determines, designs, validates, and optimizes testers (manual, semi-automatic, automatic), which eventually become part of the serial production line. TE chooses the best technology and process to test the product at best achievable cost while considering planned production line cycle time, industry relevant standards, safety, etc. TE works together with internal- and external- suppliers and participates in investments planning for upcoming serial production.

Tasks

  • Independently determines, designs, validates and optimizes test equipment for future serial production line
  • Generates drawings, manuals and other documentation related to the testers
  • Actively participates in the tester commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Reviews design in early development stage from testing perspective and provides feedback to R&D engineering
  • Closely cooperates with production plant located in Poland

Requirements

  • Higher Technical Education (HTL) or similar
  • Min 3 years' experience in automation or other relevant field
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong language skills (oral and written) in English and German
  • Ability to work in the interdisciplinary team within global organization
  • Experience with LabView programming and Autodesk Inventor
  • Self-motivated, hands-on approach
  • Willingness to travel
