Job description

As director you are responsible for the concept engineering team, spread across different sites. You are part of the technology development team for Automotive High Voltage Power Devices. You push your team of professionals to best performance in order to achieve our targets as a highly innovative company.

In your new role you will:

  • Lead a team of technical experts developing SiC-MOSFET, Si-IGBT and diode chip technologies across various Infineon sites
  • Set technical direction together with your team within the field of SiC and Si power device technologies for electro-mobility
  • Hire and on-board new team members in a fast growing team
  • Shape the future growth of your team in accordance to the strategic needs of the electro-mobility market and in close alignment with the global and cross-divisional development teams
  • Manage interfaces towards the various stakeholders within ATV and across
  • Foster continuous improvement of development methods within your team and within the greater development community

Profile

You communicate openly and clearly and are a visible role model for what you expect from others. You ensure high quality through foresighted planning, you understand the causes of potential problems and develop lasting solutions.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or similar fields, preferable a PhD
  • At least 8 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in the area of chip technology development
  • A solid technical understanding of power electronic device physics, wafer technology development and semiconductor processing
  • A proactive mindset with strong communication and moderation skills to align between various stakeholders
  • The ability to understand and structure complex situations: manage crisis situations, consolidate and present those to senior management level
  • Convincing communication skills and a connecting personality to work successfully with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent English skills, German as a plus

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification. The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group J (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2024.pdf). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
