Environmental Sustainability Manager (f/m/d)

Your Responsibilities

  • Driving our organization environmental sustainability goals and contributing to maximizing its positive environmental impact
  • Collaborate with the legal department and external experts to ensure accurate interpretation of environmental sustainability legislation.
  • Ensure compliance with EU legislation, including the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism and EcoDesign regulation.
  • Support Investor Relations on legal compliance for environmental aspects, including EU Taxonomy and Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
  • Collaborate with the legal department and external experts to ensure accurate interpretation of environmental sustainability legislation.
  • Ensure alignment of the company's portfolio with EU EcoDesign regulations, creating product pass study reports.
  • Assist Product Management and Engineering teams in reducing the environmental footprint of products and solutions.
  • Research additional emission reduction and environmental impact mitigation opportunities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement environmental impact reduction initiatives.
  • Lead sustainability certification initiatives (e.g., EcoVadis, Ökoprofit).
  • Conduct internal sustainability education and engagement activities.
  • Consequent and reliable information sharing within the team via collaboration tools (Confluence) to allow re-use and prevent double work

Your Profile

  • Master's degree in business, Technical, or Sustainability-focused field
  • Previous experience in sustainability, with skills in project and stakeholder management.
  • High sense of responsibility and proactive approach to driving sustainability objectives
  • Strong networking skills for building internal and external sustainability support.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, with solid organizational, analytical, and conceptual abilities.
  • Presentation skills, creativity, and intercultural competence.
  • High initiative, teamwork orientation, and the ability to lead agilely in cross-functional project teams.
  • Fluency in English and German with excellent written and verbal communication.
