Job Description

  • You take a senior role in an international team of highly skilled embedded firmware engineers. In addition to your distinguished abilities as a firmware engineer you also bring the abilities to guide and develop junior engineers. Your experience and proficiency also allow you to take the role of a Product Owner in our agile firmware development team.
  • The market of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems is highly dynamic and constantly undergoing changes. You are able to accept the associated uncertainties, come up with scenarios and proposals for dealing with them and support our organization in defining the required methods and processes.
  • The development of our automotive SoCs (Systems on Chip) is a highly interdisciplinary process. You understand the roles and needs of other development functions (System Engineering, Firmware Architecture, Analog/Digital Circuit Design, Test Development), management, customers and of the firmware development team. Your background allows you to communicate and cooperate with all these stakeholders to define optimal system partitioning and most efficient implementation.

Qualifications

  • Personality: You are communicative, a strong team player, open-minded, and able to work independently and in a structured way. You are capable of creating a trusting environment that allows and encourages other team members to grow personally. You communicate openly and respectfully with colleagues and management.
  • Experience and know-how: You have several years of experience in the development and testing of embedded firmware for automotive electronics products, and you have been part of such projects from the concept phase to series production. Accordingly, you have solid experience with the respective development standards (MISRA-C, IATF 16949, ISO26262, ISO/SAE 21434, ASPICE, etc.) and can work according to them. Of course, you are proficient in the commonly used programming languages (C, Python, etc.) and are also familiar with the tools used in modern development flows (Doors, Jama, Jira, Codebeamer, Git, etc.). In addition to that, you have a solid understanding of (digital) SoC architectures.
  • Education and languages: You have a university or university of applied sciences degree in computer science, embedded system design, or a similar field. You are fluent in English (spoken and written); German is a plus.
