Purpose & key responsibilities of the role

• Guide activities of scientific work group development in the field of pulp & biorefinery
• Plan, coordinate and execute Innovation projects
• Contribute to transferring project results to commercial scale and to strategy development
• Ensure compliance with SHE and QM regulations
• Monitor the state-of-the-art technology related to the area of expertise/work domain and contribute to the IP of the Lenzing Group

Our expectations for this exciting role

• University degree in Chemistry, Chemical or Bioprocess Engineering
• Several years of relevant experience in pulp, biorefinery chemistry and/or technology
• Ability to work as interface for basic research work and final application, as well as point of contact to universities and research institutes
• Profound experience in scientific work in the field of expertise
• Experienced in project management skills
• Leadership skills, team and results orientation and resilience
• Strong communication and presentation skills both in German and English
• Innovative, ecologic thinking and intercultural sensitivity

The monthly gross salary for this position is according to collective agreement in the chemical industry based on 38 working hours/week at least EUR 4,600 (100% basis - part time according to actual employment level) with a willingness to overpay - depending on qualifications and experience.
Additionally you will also take part in the Lenzing bonus system. We offer flexible working time and remote working options.
