We are currently seeking a TENDERING & SALES ENGINEER (m/f/d) in the field of Turbo Generator at our location in Weiz in the Turbo Generator department.
YOUR TASKS
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for synchronous generator service projects, including overhauls, repairs, upgrades, and LTSAs
- Define service scope based on customer requirements, equipment condition, and internal capabilities
- Conduct detailed cost calculations and margin analysis in alignment with company objectives
- Lead the proposal process from bid/no-bid decision to final submission, ensuring compliance with internal policies and risk guidelines
- Support customer presentations, negotiations, and clarification meetings
- Liaise with engineering, field service, procurement, and workshop teams to gather necessary inputs and align technical scope
- Maintain and update proposal templates, pricing databases, and costing tools
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to continuously improve proposal competitiveness
- Collaborate with key account managers and other sales team members to develop strategic customer plans
- Assist in the preparation and management of long-term service agreements, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction
- Participate in internal and external project handover meetings
- After onboarding, willingness to travel internationally (up to 20-30%)
YOUR PROFILE
- Degree in (Electrical) Engineering or equivalent professional knowledge gained through at least 3 years of hands-on experience in field service or repair shop environment, specifically related to synchronous generators or rotating electrical equipment
- Solid understanding of cost engineering, cost calculation principles, and business case development
- Experience in preparing and delivering technical and commercial presentations to customers
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
- Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken), additional languages are a plus
- Open mindset, able to work effectively with different cultures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player with a collaborative approach
- Analytical thinker with a commercial mindset and attention to detail
- Highly motivated, ambitious, and eager to grow within the organization
- Experience with CRM systems (such as Salesforce or similar) and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP preferred) is an advantage
OUR OFFER
We are legally obliged to state the collective bargaining minimum salary for this position, which is gross EUR 3.381,13 per month. However, we offer a marketbased salary depending on qualifications and professional experience in any case.
