The Raw Materials Purchasing department is looking for a Lead Buyer Purchasing Raw Materials (m/f/d).

Job description

  • Lead the creation and execution of global procurement strategies for sourcing of Chromium, ensuring alignment with company KPI's, cost efficiency and quality standards
  • Collection and consolidation of demands, prepare RfQ's for all locations for global sourcing
  • Draft, review and manage contracts with suppliers (m/f/d),ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards (incl. ESG and CO2 Footprint)
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the procurement strategies and supplier performance (m/f/d)
  • Identify potential improvements and steering of corresponding actions incl. new logistic concepts (e.g. consignment stocks)
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or reliability of supply
  • Supplier Relationship Management (develop global supplier (m/f/d), negotiate agreements and contracts)
  • Market Analysis (Screening, alternative raw material sources, market changes)
  • Risk Management (e.g. supplier risks (m/f/d), sustainable supply chain, due diligence checks)

What we offer

Salary package and benefits: The collective minimum salary agreement for this position is EUR 6.111,61 gross (14 x per year). The actual salary depends on the respective qualification or professional experience and ranges from EUR 6.111,61 gross to EUR 6.710,00 gross per month for the advertised position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or related field (Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g. CIPS, CPM) is a plus)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years in strategic procurement/business preferably with a focus on raw materials within a global context
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel on business
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global, cross-functional team
  • Proficiency in German and English languages in regard to understanding, speaking and writing for professional communication
